Oftentimes, the way that I start my morning determines the trajectory of my day. This is why my morning routine is so crucial. I recently decided that I need to develop a new morning routine because..well, I didn’t really have one. My morning practice pretty much consisted of waking up at inconsistent times and rushing to various places. Work, class, Zoom meetings–you name it. I was always rolling out of bed and running late for something.
After coming across the Youtube video in my “suggested” queue, I decided to try Jim Kwik’s 10 morning “brain power” habits. In this five minute video, the world-renowned author and brain coach offers simple tips that will help to jumpstart your brain (and ultimately your day). Although I do not follow the routine to a T, I have been able to develop my own unique set of practices that allow me to start my day in a meaningful way. Journaling, for instance, is such an important part of my morning; and I do not know how I ever used to function without it. Although Kwik does not dictate a specific wake-up time, I try to get up early enough so that I can get through all ten of the habits. There are so many great tips in this video, and I just had to share. Watch the video below, and let me know your thoughts in the comments!
