Be honest with yourself. If you could snap your fingers and create the ”perfect” life, what would it look like?
What would you be doing? Who would you be doing it with? What kind of person would you be? These questions seem simple, but they are crucial in determining how to prioritize our goals.

A lot of times, we are told to be practical. To have a backup plan. Throughout the process of being more pragmatic, a lot of us lie to ourselves, because our real dreams wouldn’t make sense to other people. For this reason, we put our dreams aside and go through life motions because it is the safe thing to do.

In the words of motivational speaker, Les Brown:

“The graveyard is the richest place on earth, because it is here that you will find all the hopes and dreams that were never fulfilled, the books that were never written, the songs that were never sung, the inventions that were never shared, the cures that were never discovered, all because someone was too afraid to take that first step, keep with the problem, or determined to carry out their dream.”

There are many that go through life without at least trying. Let’s not be one of the many that leave this earth with dreams nestled inside of our spirits. Let’s start the process toward achieving our goals and being honest with ourselves. The first step to living out your dream is to be real and figure out what it is.

Just so you know. I’m scared AF. But Lord help me, I’m going to do it anyway. Let’s go on this journey together. I have a feeling that it may make the ride a lot smoother.
