Some people have so many things that they want to accomplish. The only thing longer than their “want-to-do” list is their list of excuses. A lot of some people’s excuses have to do with the things that they “need” to have in order to get started on their journey. A new camera. A different zip code. Free time. Inspiration. Some people have an excuse list that seems to go on and on. Some people are ridiculous and need to get it together. It’s me. I’m “some people.”

I’m tired of being “some people.” In fact, just the other day I was so tired of being “some people” that I started taking photographs of random things with my phone. I felt restless, and I had the insatiable urge to create something…anything. I grabbed a bunch of random objects–a watch, a roll-on perfume, a gold clutch purse, some jewelry, lotion, decorative items–and I used a silk dress as a backdrop. I’ve always wanted to spend more time creating content, but often gave up on projects because they weren’t perfect. It doesn’t work like that. How can you have an “after” if you don’t have a “before?” Sometimes, the most impactful people are not the most talented, but the most consistent. I’ve made the decision to stop playing myself and transition from being “some people.” I’ve decided to start with what I have and strive to get better each day. Starting today.
